Bangladesh, with a sea border facing the Bay of Bengal, claims to have the world’s longest sea beach, a sea beach with a view of sunrise and sunset and a unique coral sea beach. Here is a list of sea beaches located in Bangladesh.
Cox’s Bazar:

Cox’s Bazar is a tourist city in southeastern Bangladesh on the Bay of Bengal. It is located in the Cox’s Bazar district of the Chittagong Division. Cox’s Bazar is known for its natural beauty. This is the world’s longest continuous natural sandy beach, stretching 120 kilometers from Cox’s Bazar to Bodormokam. Cox’s Bazar also has Bangladesh’s largest marine fishing port and an undersea cable landing point.
Cox’s Bazar is situated 152km south of Chittagong city. Its distance from Dhaka is 414 km. It is the largest tourism center in Bangladesh. A project to set up a railway road from Chittagong to Cox’s Bazar has been received from the capital city of Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar. Modern Cox’s Bazar was named after the name of Captain Hiram Cox (death 1798), who was an Indian military officer during British rule. At one time Cox’s Bazar was also known as Panoya, which literally means yellow flowers. Another ancient name of this place is the Palanka.Some other beautiful tourist destination near Cox’s Bazar: Aggameda Khyang Monastery, Himchari National Park, Sonadia Island.
Inani Sea Beach:

Inani Sea Beach is located 27 km from Cox’s Bazar and 15 km from Himchari. Coral appeared on the Inani Sea beach during low tide, much like St. Martin’s Island. The sea is calmer here than in Cox’s Bazar, which attracts more tourists. Typically, the afternoon is the best time to explore Inani Beach. Tourists are comparatively few in the late afternoon, and you will be sorry if you miss the spectacular sunset from here. Furthermore, while traveling to Inani via the Teknaf Marine Drive Road, the hills of the Himchari, the Sampan (boat) of the beach, the rows of coconut and other trees, and the surrounding landscapes, will remove all your weariness of your journey.
Saint Martin Beach:

Saint Martin Beach is the only coral island in Bangladesh, located south of the mainland of Bangladesh. Saint Martin, a small island of 17 square kilometers, is 120 kilometers away from Cox’s Bazar district and 35 kilometers away from Teknaf. In the local language, St. Martin is also called Narikel Zinzira. It is at the side of the Naf River. The riverside is awesome with the presence of Tonga Hills. On the opposite side, it is Myanmar and the Arakan Hills. Saint Martin Island is connected by a waterway, and the two sides are wonderfully ornamented with verdant hills. This island’s stunning natural beauty has made it a popular tourist destination in Bangladesh. The boundless blue sky, sea blue water, and rows of coconut trees have made the island a one-of-a-kind location, attracting tourism peasants with magnetic fascination.
Moheshkhali Sea Beach:

Maheshkhali Upazila is an administrative area of the Chittagong division of Cox’s Bazar district. It is considered as the ‘Vhati Anchol Dwip’ of Cox’s Bazar district. Another key point, it is the only hilly island in Bangladesh. It is also known as Maheshkhali Island or Maheshkhali Dwip. In particular, it became known as Mahesh Khali about 200 years ago. It was named with the name of Buddhist Sen Maheshwar. Moheshkhali is an island that is quite hilly and fringed with mangroves. You will enjoy the simplicity of the island and the lifestyle of the people. This island is also famous for salt production. Adinath Temple is a famous pilgrimage site of the island where thousands of Hindu devotees congregate on an annual occasion.
Sonadia Island:

Sonadia Island, a nine-square-kilometer island near Cox’s Bazaar, serves as a sanctuary for migrating birds such as petrels, snipes, shanks, lapwings, geese, ducks, and other waterfowl. A variety of unusual marine life species, including green turtles and red crabs, can be found here. The island is the country’s largest producer of dry fish, and interested travelers will have the opportunity to learn about the drying process. Sonadia Island is bordered by the water on all three sides. On the other side, the natural tiny trees, canals, and many sorts of birds and sea animals have made the area distinct and appealing. The island is also known as the “Heaven of Birds.” Some of the birds are petrels, snipes, greenshanks, teethers. and various kinds of duck.
Sandwip Island:

Sandwip Island (Upazila) is situated on the southeast coast of the Bay of Bengal, at the mouth of the Meghna River in Chittagong district. It is an old Bangladeshi island. The island of around 4 million people is 50 kilometers long and 5 to 15 kilometers wide. Sandwip is lovely in every way—crop fields, green nature, local markets, and everything else. There are also other traditional sites to visit on the island. The hundred-year-old Mariam Bibi Sahebani Mosque, built in the style of the Taj Mahal, is located in the island’s north. There are big dighi next to the mosque and shrine. The classic dry Dighi can be found in the island’s southern region. There are many mosques, schools, madrasas, and vast playgrounds. If you’re lucky, you might be able to enjoy the Baul singer’s songs. You can also observe and appreciate Amanular Char on the north side of Sandwip, Uri Char and Kalapani to the northeast, and Kalia Char to the south.
Chhera Dwip:

Chhera Island is an uninhabited island and extension of St. Martin’s Island located near the mouth of the Naf River in the Bay of Bengal, Chittagong Division, southeastern Bangladesh. Chhera Dwip, which is part of St. Martin’s island, is divided by tides. If the connecting land is not underwater, it will take you two and a half hours to walk here. You can also take a motorboat. Corals, both living and dead, are abundant on this island. Chhera Dwip just has one green spot, a little shrub.
Patenga Beach:

Patenga is a sea beach located 14 kilometers south of Chittagong. It is situated at the mouth of the Karanaphuli River. Patenga is a renowned tourist destination in Chittagong. This beach was severely destroyed by the 1991 cyclone. With the application of cement, it is now protected against the regular natural disasters.
Cox’s Bazar was once thought to be the only sea beach in Chittagong, however Patenga Beach is becoming increasingly famous. This gorgeous beach is around an hour and a half away from Chittagong. On the other hand, the flames of evergreen trees on one side and the wide blue waters on the other will greet you. Similarly, the soothing wind of the ocean will fill your head with happiness. At the time, the road leading to this beach was in poor condition. However, the authorities progressively restored the streets to make them more tourist friendly. The security in this region has now been enhanced. Many establishments, including the grocery shop, have been established under the shade of trees along the beach. There are also numerous speedboats to travel around the sea; sea-bikes and horses to travel through the seashore. If you walk along the north side of the road, you will see the estuarine of the Bay of Bengal and Karnaphuli.
Kuakata Beach:

Kuakata sea beach is located in the Latachapali union of Kalapara thana of Patuakhali district. It is an 18-kilometer-long long sea beach, can enjoy both the sunrise and sunset simultaneously. This has made Kuakata unique from all the beaches. From the east side of Gangamoti, you can see the sunrise very well. On the other hand, for watching the sunset, the western sea beach is the perfect place. On one side of the beach, there is the outstretched sea and on the other side is the row of coconut trees. The clean beach, the horizontal blue sky, and the mangrove forest gave the beach another dimension than most of the beaches in Bangladesh.
Nijhum Dwip:

Nijhum Dwip is a natural sandy sea beach and island alongside the Bay of Bengal and in the mouth of Meghna. It is a small island in the Bay of Bengal in the southwest part of Noakhali district. Though it is called the islands, it is a Char. At the time, it was known as Char Osmani or Bollar Char. In the early 1950s, the island was awakened with several small chars, which is about 14,050 acres. At the beginning of 1950, a cluster appeared in the northern part of the Bay of Bengal in the south of the Noakhali district. This new sandbank was first discovered by a group of fishermen. Later in 1979, former minister Amirul Islam Kalam named it Nijhum Dwip. Until the year of 1970, there was no habitat, so the island was isolated actually. Later, in the 1970s, the forest department started functioning to make it liveable.
Parki Sea Beach:

Parki beach is situated just a one-and-a-half-hour distance from Chittagong city. Once it was familiar that
Cox’s Bazar and Patenga beach is the only sea beach, but the popularity of Parki Sea Beach is increasing day by day. At one side the vast waters of the ocean and on the other side with greenery forestry environment will surely welcome you. The gentle breeze of the ocean will fill your mind with joy. It is another natural beach among the many beaches of the coastal city of Chittagong. However, if you want to go here, you will have to cross the Karnaphuli River in Chittagong, that means, move to another side. There are numerous natural variations, including red crabs and trees.
Kotka Sea Beach:

Kotka Sea Beach, located on the South-east side of the Sundarbans, is one of the most beautiful places of the Sundarbans. Kotka is situated about 90 kilometers away from Mongla port and the main forestry center of the East Bayside. One of the main attractions of the Sundarbans is the Royal Bengal Tiger. But in the forest, it is tough to find the tiger, and it is also risky. However, it is possible to meet the Tiger staying on the safe side, of the beautiful tourist center of the Kotka Forestry area. The Royal Bengal Tiger, one of the main attractions of the Sundarbans, is often seen here. Apart from this, you can watch the beautiful Chitra deer, the various types of birds, the natural environment and the presence of wild animals. Kotka is considered one of the beautiful and tourist attraction places in Sundarbans.
Laboni Sea Beach:

The eldest sea beach in Cox’s Bazar is Laboni Sea Beach, which is also known as Laboni Point or Old Sea Beach of Bangladesh. The Bengalis just are very fond of the sea beach. Whenever they get time, they run for Cox’s Bazar and they enjoy Laboni Beach. Although Sugandha Beach and Kolatali Beech are popular nowadays, Laboni beach is a little different and attracts the tourists for getting enormous feelings. You can take a rickshaw from Kolatoli Sea Beach Road even you can go by walking to reach Laboni Sea Beach. Because of very close of Cox’s Bazar, Labani beach is considered as one of the main beaches of Cox’s Bazar. There are very large markets in the Laboni Sea Beach. Apart from this, the oyster market is set up that attracts the tourists very much.
Guliakhali Sea Beach:

Guliakhali Sea Beach is situated in Sitakund Upazila, Chittagong district. The locals refer to this beach as ‘Muradpur Beach’. It is only 5 kilometers from Sitakunda Bazar to Guliakhali Sea Beach. Nature had no niggards to embellish the Guliakhali Sea Beach. On the other side, the waterways around the sea and the Kewa forest distinguish this beach. The canal that runs through the Kewa Forest has descended into the sea and is quite appealing. It creates the environment of swamp woods and mangrove forests. Because it is outside of the city and there are few tourists, you will find a peaceful environment that will be remembered in your life.
